Transfer news and rumours LIVE: Messi wants Pogba to join Barcelona


The Liga side's dressing room, including their biggest star, are in favour of a move for the France midfielder
Lionel Messi is among a host of Barcelona stars who want Paul Pogba to join the club, reports the Daily Mail.
Pogba's future at Manchester United is in doubt due to his inconsistent form and an ongoing feud with manager Jose Mourinho.
But Barca's stars, including Messi, Gerard Pique and Samuel Umtiti, along with manager Ernesto Valverde, want to bring Pogba to the club, though Barca's scouts remain divided over a move. 

Lazio to release former Man Utd midfielder:

Ravel Morrison is set to be released from his contract at Lazio after struggling to make an impact in Italy, reports Il Messaggero.
The former Manchester United midfielder penned a four-year deal with the Serie A side in 2015, but is set to see that agreement cut short.

Neymar has agreement to leave PSG:


Neymar has been told that he is free to leave Paris Saint-Germain for €220 million (£193m/$253m) next summer, reports Cadena SER.
The Brazilian forward has been heavily linked with a return to Spain, with a second spell at Barcelona or a big-money switch to Real Madrid.

Milan's Paqueta move to be investigated:

An investigation is to be opened into AC Milan’s €35 million (£31m/$40m) agreement for Lucas Paqueta, reports Globo Esporte.


The Flamengo star is due to make his way to Italy in January, but authorities in Brazil are planning to look into the deal before any move is made.

Newcastle keen on Liverpool attacking duo:



Newcastle manager Rafa Benitez has asked about the possible availability of Liverpool duo Dominic Solanke and Divock Origi, according to The Chronicle.
Both men find themselves on the fringes of the fold at Anfield and may be offered Premier League football elsewhere in January.

Everton piecing together Ramsey offer:



Everton have joined the hunt for Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey, according to The Sun, with a £150,000-a-week offer being prepared.
The Wales international is into the final year of his contract with the Gunners and is set to become a free agent next summer.

'Juventus kicked me out to sign Ronaldo':


AC Milan striker Gonzalo Higuain feels like he was "kicked out" of Juventus after Cristiano Ronaldo's signing in July.
He told Gazzetta dello Sport: "Maybe I knew something had broken, and then they took Ronaldo. The decision to leave was not mine."



Real Madrid make fresh approach for Conte:

Real Madrid have sounded out former Chelsea boss Antonio Conte regarding a possible managerial role at the Santiago Bernabeu, claims Corriere dello Sport.
The Italian has been without a club since leaving Stamford Bridge over the summer and is among those being considered as a possible replacement for Julen Lopetegui in the Spanish capital - with the Blancos having endured a testing start to the 2018-19 campaign.

Hazard tipped to leave Chelsea 'slavery':

Eden Hazard has been tipped to leave the “slavery” of Chelsea by former Real Madrid president Ramon Calderon.
He told beIN Sports: "There’s no point to having a player who wants to go, slavery was abolished a long time ago."

Laudrup offers services to Madrid:

With Julen Lopetegui under mounting pressure at Real Madrid, TeleMadrid claims that Michael Laudrup has offered his services to the club.
The former Swansea boss spent two years with the Blancos as a player and is ready to return to the Santiago Bernabeu if required.

Rashford on Juve's radar:

Juventus are considering a swoop for Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford, reports The Sun.
The England international, who is also being linked with Chelsea, has struggled to nail down a regular starting berth with the Red Devils.


Las Vegas Lights tried to hire Landon Donovan as manager:

The Las Vegas lights have a new manager in the form of former USMNT star Eric Wynalda, with the club announcing the signing on Wednesday
But appearently, Wynalda wasn't the club's first choice. 
According to Washington D.C. based reporter Pablo Maurer, the club first tried to land recently-retired U.S. soccer legend Landon Donovan to take over. 
The Lights have a history of trying to make a splash, having signed the likes of Freddy Adu to a playing contract and dropping cash from the sky for fans, but even for them the attempt to sign Donovan as a coach seems a bit out of left field. 

Piatti to return to San Lorenzo?:

Will Ignacio Piatti be returning to San Lorenzo from the Montreal Impact after the 2019 season? 
The midfielder told the San Lorenzo de América radio show that the earliest he could leave the Impact would be after the 2019 MLS season, but even that would reportedly require Montreal's consent, with the club holding an option on his contract for the 2020 season. 
The attacking midfielder helped the Argentine club to 2014 Copa Libertadores title. 

West Ham eye Giroud swoop:

West Ham are eyeing up a stunning move for Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud, according to the Mirror
The London club made an approach for the former Arsenal forward before his move to Chelsea, but were quickly turned down.
Giroud now has less than a year left on his contract with the Blues and West Ham are hoping they can now lure him to the club. 

Man United delaying sporting director appointment:

Manchester United won't hire a new sporting director while Jose Mourinho is still in charge at the club, the Daily Mail reports. 
Mourinho was clear about his frustration with the club's transfer business this summer and the club are looking to avoid more changes as the Portuguese boss remains under intense pressure. 

Bakayoko won't return to Chelsea in January – agent:

Chelsea midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko will not return from his AC Milan loan in January, according to his agent. 
Bakayoko has struggled to impress manager Gennaro Gattuso so far, leading to speculation his loan could come to a premature end. 
But Bakayoko's agent Federico Pastorello told Calciomercato:  "Any speculation about his return to Chelsea is simply untrue.”


Liverpool interested in Demirbay:

Liverpool have maintained an interest in Hoffenheim midfielder Kerem Demirbay, reports Turkish-Football.
Reports earlier this year linked Arsenal and Liverpool with a move for the 25-year-old Germany international, but a move did not materialise. 
But the Reds are still interesting in moving for Demirbay, and are still in contract with the player’s representatives.

Celtic eye loan move for McTominay:

Celtic are monitoring Scott McTominay's situation at Manchester United with an eye toward a loan move, according to the Belfast Telegraph. 
McTominay has made just four league appearances so far in 2018-19, and United could be open to allowing the Scotland international to move to his home country for the second half of the season.

West Ham consider €25m move Dzeko in January:

West Ham are considering a move for Roma striker Edin Dzeko in January, reports Calciomercato
The 32-year-old is contracted to Roma until 2020, and is hoping to extend his stay with the club through 2021. 
But the Giallorossi are weighing up whether to invest heavily in a player of Dzeko's age, and instead could sell to a Hammers side willing to bid €25 million (£22m/$29m).

Bayern turned down move for Sancho:

Bayern Munich turned down the chance to sign Borussia Dortmund star Jadon Sancho in 2017, according to Bild
Sancho, then with Manchester City, was scouted extensively by the Bundesliga champions, who decided against signing the teenage winger. 
Dortmund would eventually swoop in and sign Sancho, who has proved a bargain at just £8 million (€9m/$10m).
